Queen Street Deli finalist in the Taste of Somerset Awards 2010

We were thrilled to make it as a finalist in the Taste of Somerset Awards 2010 for the Best Independent Food Shop and would like to say a big thank you to all our customers who very kindly voted for us.  Unfortunately we did not win this year but hopefully with your continued support we can go one step better in 2011.  The awards evening was held at Mill on the Brue in Bruton on Tuesday 13th April and hosted by Blackmore Vale Media who organised the awards for the first time in 2009 supported by many generous sponsers.

Although we missed out I'm very pleased to say that many of the products we sell were represented and won their catagories.  Congratulations to The Orchard Pig who collected the prize for Best Drinks Producer and also to Montgomery Cheddar which came out on top in the Best Dairy Producer just edging out Wootton Organics who were also finalists.

We felt very lucky to be part of the event and once again thank everyone who nominated us and hope that we continue to grow and improve and hopefully provide Wells with the Deli it deserves!
